The AWF Board of Directors has considered the applications received from State Members wishing to host AWF National Championships in 2019 and has made the following decisions:

2019 AWF National Senior Championships
No State Member applied to host this event. The AWF will investigate venue and scheduling options and advise members as soon as possible.

2019 AWF National Under 23 & Junior Championships
Venue: Quay Centre (NSW State Sports Centre), Sydney Olympic Park NSW
Date: 16 – 17 August
Note: this event may be conducted on Saturday 17th August only, depending on the number of entrants. If warranted, one or two additional competition sessions may be scheduled on the evening of Friday 16th Aug. Entries close on Wednesday 5th June and the competition schedule will be provided to State Members by Monday 10th June.

2019 AWF National Youth & Under 15 Championships
Venue: Cougars Weightlifting Club, Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, Brisbane Qld
Date: 28 – 29 September
Entries close Wednesday 31st July and the competition schedule will be provided to State Members by Monday 5th August.
