New Additions to the AWF High Performance Workforce

AWF Performance Pathway Manager

The Australian Weightlifting Federation has appointed Greg Hobl to the position of Performance Pathway Manager. The Performance Pathway Manager will be instrumental in supporting the development of Australia’s future elite weightlifters.

Greg Hobl brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, having been involved in weightlifting for over 40 years. As a Coach at Club, State and National levels, Greg has a deep understanding of the daily training environment and the type of support and guidance athletes need to achieve their full potential.

State High Performance Coordinator – QLD & NT

Miles Wydall has been appointed as the AWF State High Performance Coordinator for Queensland and the Northern Territory. Miles already coaches many National Squad athletes on a daily basis at the Cougars Weightlifting Club and now he will widen his scope to encompass all of Australia’s northern regions. He will work with Coaches and High Performance Athletes in Queensland and the NT to develop comprehensive individual performance plans and assessment schedules designed to achieve peak performance at targeted events.

The AWF’s High Performance Program is directed by the AWF High Performance Commission and delivered through State High Performance Coordinators covering four regions: Queensland & Northern Territory; New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory; Victoria & Tasmania; South Australia & Western Australia.
