Australia maintained second place on the Oceania League Ladder with another convincing win. The additional aggregate points gained from the Round 5 match against Papua New Guinea provide a good buffer, with the League now at the half-way mark.

Samoa seems unbeatable in this competition and with Australia and New Zealand both having an equal tally of matches won and lost, the next round against New Zealand at the end of November is a must-win for the Aussies.
