2016 Oceania Rankings and Records

Attached please find the ranking list of the Oceania Senior, Junior and Youth – for 2016.   And also the OWF records to date. 

Ele Opeloge 2008 Olympic Silver medalist

The Oceania Weightlifting Federation is delighted to see that Ele Opeloge from Samoa has been officially declared by the IWF – the silver medallist from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the +75kg category.

Her name has now officially appeared in the IWF 2008 Olympic Games results -

2017 Australian Open Regulations

2017 CYG - Expression of Interest

Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) is excited to be sending a Team to the 6th Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) to be staged in the Bahamas between 18-23 July 2017. Led by our Team General Manager, Matt Cowdrey, the CGA is seeking Expressions of Interest from talented and highly driven individuals to fill the roles of:

It is with considerable regret and sadness that I announce Jacquie White has tendered her resignation as AWF High Performance Coordinator (HPC).

EOI - 2018 Commonwealth Games Technical Officials and Volunteers

The Australian Weightlifting Federation is seeking motivated and experienced people to be part of two great Weightlifting events: The 2017 Commonwealth & Oceania Weightlifting Championships; and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

2016 OTIP Program

I am delighted to inform you that the OTIP program which closed on the 31st October attracted 7,670 students from 97 schools. 12 countries took part.

This is an outstanding success and I thank everyone involved with the organisation of the program. Please see attached report.
