The Australian Weightlifting Federation Board is seeking to appoint six suitably qualified and experienced individuals as independent committee members for its:

1. Nominations and Remuneration Committee 
2. Finance Audit & Risk Committee 

The AWF Board congratulates Queenslanders Madison Power and Jett Gaffney on being selected by the Australian Olympic Committee to contest the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

Madison and Jett finished on top of the qualifying ladder in front of 18 other young promising athletes who all fought hard to make the team.

As you know the `new’ bodyweight categories will be contested at the 2018 Australian Jnr-Snr Championships in Brisbane.

The best Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total will become the recognised standards that when topped post the 2018 nationals will turn out to be new Australian Jnr - Snr Records.

Please refer to the attachment containing the referee availability e-form and schedule for the 2018 AWF Junior-Senior Weightlifting Championships taking place at Cougars Weightlifting Club, Cnr Old Cleveland & Tilley Rds, Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, Brisbane, QLD during the weekend of

7-8 -9 September 2018.
