The Australian Weightlifting Federation Board invites applications from AWF Coaches who wish to be considered for appointment to AWF Teams in 2019.

Applications must be submitted on the attached form and returned to imoir@awf.com.au by Sunday 6^th January 2019.

Please refer to the attachment containing the announcement of the AWF Team that will be contesting the 2018 Pacific Cup taking place in Mont Dore, New Caledonia on Saturday 15 December, 2018. 

From  November 1^st,  2018,  the IWF will change the bodyweight categories.  Therefore NEW records will be established. 

The OWF Executive Board and with the assistance of Michael Noonan, the CWF Statistician, have established new standards in these new bodyweight categories.  

 Please refer to the attachment regarding the submission of an expression of interest from female coaches wishing to be considered for an assignment at the 2018 IWF World Senior Championships – Ashgabat, TKM, 1-10 November 2018.

The AWF Board congratulates Queenslanders Madison Power and Jett Gaffney on being selected by the Australian Olympic Committee to contest the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

Madison and Jett finished on top of the qualifying ladder in front of 18 other young promising athletes who all fought hard to make the team.
