The Australian Weightlifting Federation Board invites applications from AWF Coaches who wish to be considered for appointment to AWF Teams in 2019.
Applications must be submitted on the attached form and returned to [email protected] by Sunday 6th January 2019.

From November 1st, 2018, the IWF will change the bodyweight categories. Therefore NEW records will be established.
The OWF Executive Board and with the assistance of Michael Noonan, the CWF Statistician, have established new standards in these new bodyweight categories.

The AWF Board congratulates Queenslanders Madison Power and Jett Gaffney on being selected by the Australian Olympic Committee to contest the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
Madison and Jett finished on top of the qualifying ladder in front of 18 other young promising athletes who all fought hard to make the team.
As you know the `new’ bodyweight categories will be contested at the 2018 Australian Jnr-Snr Championships in Brisbane.
The best Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total will become the recognised standards that when topped post the 2018 nationals will turn out to be new Australian Jnr - Snr Records.
