42 Vanuatu Pacific Mini Games Gold medallists are in a special training camp at the Oceania Weightlifting Institute in Mont Dore, New Caledonia, in preparation for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast from the 4th to 16th April.

For any AWF member who has a strong desire to be in contention to be nominated to the CGA to be a 2018 Commonwealth Games team member may contest the 2017 Pacific Cup International which will take place on 5th August, so long as they have the personal funds to cover transport to and from New Caledonia.
