The OWF Calendar of Events for 2022 was approved unanimously by the Executive Board on Sunday, 16^th January.

Other items which were unanimously approved by the Executive Board during this meeting were as follows:

1. That the PREMIERS LEAGUE and the LEAGUE A tournament which was so successful last year will continue for 2022.  
2. The Oceania Junior and Youth Championships to be run online in conjunction with the OWF Cup on March 25^th & 26^th.
3. The OWF Electoral Congress – due to covid raging in the region and communication problems – it was decided to postpone to the 15^th October and to be conducted face to face in Samoa. 
4. Also on October 13^th & 14^th,  Samoa will also hold an Oceania Elite Coaching Seminar.  One coach from each country will be fully funded to attend. 
5. In addition In May,  in preparation to the Commonwealth Games,  the OWF will run the OWF Elite Online Tournament for invited lifters who will be competing at the Commonwealth Games.   There will be prize money for this event.
