Eileen Cikamatana took a big step towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with a podium finish at the World Weightlifting Championships in Riyadh this month. Her performance in the 81kg category earned bronze medals in the Clean & Jerk and Total, and secured a solid 5^th position in the IWF Olympic Qualification Ranking.

Working her way back from an injury sustained at the end of 2021, Eileen snatched 110kg and jerked 146kg in Riyadh. With a strong attempt at 115kg in the snatch and a 150kg clean, she proved that she’s ready to take on the world once again, and her sights are firmly set on the Paris podium.
