2020 OWF Cup – Online Tournament

The Oceania Weightlifting Federation is holding its next online real-time competition, the 2020 OWF Cup online tournament on 5th and 6th December 2020.

2020 Eleiko Email International Lifters Tournament

This online tournament is to be held on July 24th & 25th.

2020 Eleiko Email International Lifters Tournament Regulations

The tournament will be held on the 24th – 25th July.  The 24th being the date of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games had they been held this year. The entries are to be submitted on line during those two days.

2019 Arafura Games & 2019 Oceania & Commonwealth Masters Weightlifting Championships and Pacific Rim Masters Tournament - Invitation and Regulations

Through the years, the Australian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) has hosted Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Goodwill Games, World Championships, Commonwealth and Oceania Championships.

The Australian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) is very proud of its ability to provide excellent levels of participation and competition whilst maintaining the essence of sportsmanship and ensuring an equal field of play.

Thanks to the support of the Oceania and Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation’s, and the Arafura Games Organising Committee, the AWF in 2019 has the honor of presenting two prestigious international weightlifting events, the 2019 Arafura Games in Darwin during the period 26 – 29 April, and the Oceania & Commonwealth Masters Championships, incorporating the Pacific Rim Masters Tournament, on the Gold Coast, Queensland between 13-16 June.

I take this opportunity to cordially invite your athletes, technical officials and team support personnel to participate in these events. I have attached information providing important details about each of these competitions.

Oceania Standard Records

From  November 1st,  2018,  the IWF will change the bodyweight categories.  Therefore NEW records will be established. 

 

The OWF Executive Board and with the assistance of Michael Noonan, the CWF Statistician, have established new standards in these new bodyweight categories.

Please refer to the attachment containing details of the athletes and Team Support Personnel who will be representing the AWF at the 2018 Oceania Youth-Junior-Senior Championships in Noumea, New Caledonia and at the 2018 World Junior Championships taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
