Athletes are reminded that they can now register for the Australian Open at www.awf.com.au/registration/ with entries closing on the 5th of February.
The Australian Open and Australian International will be run simultaneously, with the Australian International being operated under full IWF rules and regulations to meet IWF criteria to be a recognised as a 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Qualifying Event, this includes no more than 2 athletes per bodyweight category per country.

The Oceania Weightlifting Federation is delighted to see that Ele Opeloge from Samoa has been officially declared by the IWF – the silver medallist from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the +75kg category.
